About Post Alley Cafe

The Post Alley Café was founded on a deep connection to Seattle and all of it’s rich history. Especially the historic Post Alley located in Pike Place Market. My grandparents operated Stall 8 in the market selling fresh produce, and then my mother and her siblings took over after them. I always loved that my family was a part of Seattle’s most famous landmark. When my husband and I started our catering company, Jewel Hospitality, I wanted to always keep the familial connection to my city through the market, and that is where the concept of The Post Alley Café was born.

I wanted to create a place where both Seattle locals and guests to our city could enjoy the best coffee Seattle has to offer, as well as local foods that were founded in the market and city where my family built their roots. When we connected with the historic boutique hotel, Hotel Deca, we knew The Post Alley Café would be a perfect fit, bringing together the cultures of both the bustling market and the excitement of the ever-changing University District.

We have proudly partnered with Herkimer coffee to provide premium northwest roasts, and our baristas are trained by Herkimer owners themselves to create espresso drinks that would make Seattle proud. We also carry market favorites like Marketspice Tea, Rachel’s Ginger Beer, Ellenos Yogurt, Beecher’s Cheese, and Chuckar Cherries. Other Seattle staple vendors we carry are Mighty-O Donuts, breads from Essential Baking Company, and delicious treats from Theo’s Chocolate.

All of our salads, wraps, and breakfast sandwiches are hand crafted in the Jewel Hospitality kitchen by our amazing Chef Andy Leonard, who uses fresh and wholesome ingredients. We also buy our ingredients locally and organic whenever possible. In the evening you can come in for a selection of beer, wine, and appetizers before you head over to The Neptune across the street and catch a show!

The Post Alley Café has something for everyone. Our comfortable seating and large open windows provide a perfect place to study, catch up with friends, or even have a business meeting out of the office. Please stop by today for a drink, something to eat, and please say hello if you see us in the shop!

All the best,

Marcia and Doug Evans
